We have been super busy the last few weeks with me trying to finish up school for this semester, and Matthew putting the last finishing touches on the lab before they start running real patient samples. Ready for a much needed break in NYC next week! We are finally taking our 5 year anniversary trip (only 8 months late!). Anyway, my apologies for being absent from the blog for some time.
The week before Easter, our church had their annual Easter Egg Hunt after service. Avery surprisingly understood the whole concept, but quickly tired of it, and decided she would rather go drink lemonade :) Our small group and kids had a lemonade stand that day to benefit our church's capital campaign.

Ashton, Avery and Stella. They are all turning 2 within a month of each other. So fun to have friends so close in age :) |
Easter morning, Avery woke up with a fever and drainage coming out of her left ear... go figure. Since church was out of the question for her, I went to teach Sunday school and M swapped with me so he could go to service. We were also hosting people over for lunch that afternoon, thankfully, since this is her 3rd ear infection SINCE tubes, we knew she just needed some drops and wasn't contagious... lunch was still on :)

The Easter bunny made a stop at our house |

Even though she missed church, I still had to put her in her Easter dress that her Honey had made for her. So beautiful! |

Easter ham, hashbrown casserole, deviled eggs, green beans, corn pudding, strawberry salad, mandarin orange salad, rolls... it was all so delicious! |

Thanks Drew and Katie, and Jonathan and Kristen for coming for Easter lunch, and supplying some delicious sides :) |

Katie made this adorable bunny cake :) So cute! |
We are still in the throws of the nasty ear infection today. Fever, drainage, coughing, and a short nap do not make for a happy toddler. :)
Hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter celebrating the empty tomb! We are so incredibly blessed! "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay"
