Happy 4th!

Per tradition, Matthew and I spent the 4th at Ed and Shawn's for their annual 4th of July bash!  Last year we barely missed it as we were at the beach with my parents for that week, and the year before we had just moved to Houston (but let's not dwell too much on that... :)  The last 4th party we were able to attend, we invited Heather and Russ to come down... since then, they have spent countless evenings at Chez Shed, and the 4th party has become a tradition for them as well.  Russ even swapped his schedule so he could come!  Geoff and Mollie were obviously there as well as they have become staples at Ed and Shawn's over the years too.

It looked a bit different this year, considering the last time we were all childless.  This year, we were chasing after our 2 girls, but once they were safely asleep in their pack n plays, we were able to enjoy dinner and fireworks without worrying one of the two might take a accident dip in the pool.

Hope everyone had a great holiday!  We loved having our best friends here with us!
