The Rest of Fall

Here are the other activities we have been up to this Fall... after traveling A LOT in October, we were home quite a bit this month, just in time to start traveling again for the holidays.  Tis the season!

On October 10th by beautiful friend Aimee got married!  So honored to be a part of her big day!
4 Pi Delta babies reunited... rehearsal dinner.
A few weeks later we were back in Nashville for my 10 year high school reunion.

DLHS Class of 2004!  I had a great time catching up with people I hadn't seen since graduation.
A lot of fun times had with these girls right here...missing a few in the picture.  Looking at this reminds me of how blessed I was to grow up with such a wonderful, fun, godly group of women.
SO very thankful :)
That same weekend we took Avery, with David and Sandra, to downtown Franklin for a fall festival there were having.  She was mesmerized by the princesses.
What heaven to a 2.5 year old looks like...

Trunk or Treat at church.  Poor Thomas got too hot in his costume ;)
These girls are such sweet friends
The only picture I have of Kristen and me being pregnant at the same time!

Sweetest little cherry pie
Avery wanted her picture taken with Campbell
This is Avery's reaction to running into her best friend from school!
Supporting the Tide at school the day before the Mississippi State game!
M and I last minute got AWESOME tickets from the pediatrician I am rotating with to the Alabama game this past weekend.  It was obviously a cruddy game, but we got to sit in "The Zone", free food (and when I say food, I mean TONS of it) and drink all game long, plus the seats had backs!  The only way to go to a football game at 28 weeks pregnant, in my opinion :)

2...and 1/2

Avery Grace, you are now closer to 3 than 2, and I think Mommy might die a little inside!  Where did my baby girl go?

Avery here are your stats at 30 months:

Sleep:  12 hours at night and still a good 2-3 hour nap during the day.  On days where you stay at preschool past 1, you don't always nap, but your teachers say that you will at least lay on your nap mat quietly :)

Clothes Size: 2T and some 3T, you wear a size 6 shoe.

Favorite Toys: your play kitchen, dollhouse, and your Sophia and Mae dolls

Favorite Books: You honestly love to read more than doing much else.  Sometimes I will just find you in your room curled up in your chair with a bunch of books.  I hope this continues!  You really don't seem to have an ultimate favorite, you are into a new one every few days or so.

Favorite Movie/TV show: Oh my... You have now seen The Little Mermaid, and nothing, and I mean nothing compares to your love for Ariel.  I think you could watch it 5 times a day if Mommy and Daddy would let you.  You still like Frozen and Princess Sophia on occasion.

Favorite Songs: You like to listen to the Frozen soundtrack in the car and will sing along to the whole thing.  Otherwise, you like to sing Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves the little Children, Peace in Me, The Lord Told Noah To Build Him and Arky Arky, and The Lord's Army.

Favorite Foods: My goodness child, there is not much you won't eat.  Something I am very grateful for, but I keep waiting for you to rebel!  One night last week Daddy and I decided we wanted Thai, so we took you along, and you ate about half of my portion!

Milestones:  Yay for being potty trained!  You are also using bigger and bigger words in sentences, the other day I heard you say, "I am flustrated!".  You also speak in sentences of 5-6 words most of the time.  You know you live in Birmingham, AL and the name of the street we live on, and whenever we get on I-65 North you ask if we are going to Nashville, ha.  You can pedal a tricycle, draw a circle, know all your colors and some shapes, and you are getting really good at dressing yourself.  You have great manners and know to say "excuse me", "please and thank you", "May I be excused" when getting up from the table, "bless you", and now we are working on consistently saying, "yes ma'am/no sir".

The Funny Things You Say:  Just yesterday after you got up from nap you went potty, and I left your pull up on since it was dry, about 30 minutes later you went to the potty by yourself and you came out having taken off your pants and pull up, I asked you, "Avery why did you take off your clothes", to which you replied, "Because.... (long pause), I love you?!".  Now when I put you down to sleep you will whisper in my ear, "Mommy, cover up my toesies."  At school one day you told your teacher you really liked the clips she had in her hair and then asked her, "Did your Honey get those for you?".  Too funny :)

Avery we love you and are so thankful for the joy and laughter you bring into our house everyday!  We cannot wait to see you transition into being a big sister in February!

Can we get a "Roll Tide" after yesterday!
