Avery is 3!

In the blink of an eye, our sweet baby girl is now 3.  Over this last year she has really transitioned from a toddler to a little girl; a funny, sweet, smart, dramatic, loving little girl.  Y'all she is seriously the coolest child in the entire world.  God is so incredibly good to have blessed us with such an amazing gift.

Avery here are your stats at 3:

Height and Weight:  I will have to come back in and add these later.  We go to the doctor in a few weeks for your check up.

Sleep: You are now in a big girl bed and have been since January... You transitioned beautifully...until baby brother got here.  Long story short we had some issues with nap time but you are finally back into a good groove.  You go to bed around 7:30 and sleep until about 7-7:30.  Take about a 1-2 hour nap per day.

Clothes Size: 3t-4t

Favorite Toys: You are such a girly girl.  You LOVE your baby dolls Mae and Elsa, play beauty accessories, Ariel castle, anything Disney princess

Favorite Activities: doing just about anything with your daddy, reading books, cooking with Mommy, coloring, trying on Mommy's jewelry, going to school..you LOVE school, playing with your friends, hearing stories from Mommy and Daddy's childhood

Favorite Books: You don't really have one favorite, you just love them all... We have grown quite a collection.

Favorite Movies: Beauty and the Beast is your new favorite, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Tangled

Favorite Foods: chicken salad, chips and cheese dip, french fries, donuts, any fruit, popcorn.  That being said, you will eat just about anything, including salad (it is one of your staples).  We are very thankful you love to eat!

Favorite Songs: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves the Little Children, Skinnamarink

Funny Things You've Said:  After hearing Mommy tell Lexi to get off the couch I overhear you from the other room saying, "For the love Dedi (what you still call Lexi), for the love!".  While we were in the hospital with Burton, after asking Honey a few times to put on your sweater, she told you to wait one second while she finished getting ready, she then heard you mutter under your breath, "You're making me crazy!".  After getting a boo boo at school you ran over to your teacher to be consoled and told her, "I need you to text my Mommy and tell her to come get me."  You told me one day that a classmate had moved, I asked you where and you said, "Charlie B. moved to Alazona."

Milestones: You speak in full and very LONG sentences.  You can rationalize, you're imagining and pretending and you play well by yourself.  You are fully potty trained except for when sleeping, you can brush your own teeth, put on your clothes and shoes.  You use cups without lids at home a lot of the time.  You are very good with your manners and a lot of times don't have to be reminded to say, "please, thank you, sir, and ma'am."

Personality:  You are not lacking in this department.  You are so flipping funny and make us laugh constantly.  To that end, you are a bit dramatic (I think we all know who you got that from), but we wouldn't have it any other way.  You like being the center of attention, you're so outgoing and would talk to just about anybody.  You are so sweet and thoughtful, you will always compliment me before I leave the house, I will never tire of your sweet little voice telling me I look beautiful.  You will at random look over at us and say, "I love you."  My favorite is when you come up to both of us, throw your arms around us and say, "I love the whole family!"

We love you so much Avery!  You are such a joy!

First and last day of school! You grew so much!
You had two birthday celebrations.  One here in Birmingham with Mimi and Papa.  You were supposed to have a few friends come over that night for cake and ice cream, but you were sick!

I love David in the backgroun trying to get Burton to look up!
We got your an orchid to keep in your room
All you wanted to do for your birthday celebration in Nashville was get your "ponytails" done with Aunt Addie.

Thanks to Honey for your Ariel cake!  So cute!

Along with your suitcase, they also surprised you with this... Never mind that Mommy NEVER got a power wheels car!

You look so old to me here

Burton- 3 Months!

Burton, where have the last 3 months gone?  Somewhere in between the craziness of the last few weeks, you have turned into a smiley/squishy/cooing precious angel.  You will always and forever be my baby boy (until you turn 35 and get married that is ;), and I claim these first few years to dress you as such... I would apologize in advance, but I'm actually not sorry about it at all :)

Burton here are your stats at 3 months:

Weight: We only know this because you had to go to the pediatrician for an eye infection.  13 pounds 13 ounces (still 70th percentile).  You definitely seem chunkier, and we call you chunk-a-munk and meatball on a daily basis.

Length: Will find this out next month.

Sleep:  Miscounting last night (don't know what was going on there) you have been sleeping through the night for about 3 weeks now.  You nurse around 9:30/10:00 and immediately go down, and usually wake up right about 7:30AM.  Amazing!  Still sleeping in the rock-n-play/swaddled; we don't mess with a good thing while you've got it going.

Eating:  Still nursing every 2-3 hours during the day.

Likes: You LOVE bath time, being sung to, and snuggling while you sleep with anyone who will have you, and your chair that plays music.

Dislikes: being put in your car seat, tummy time, being taken out of the bath

Diaper Size: size 2

Clothes Size: all across the board.  Still wearing some 0-3 months, some 6-9, depends on the brand really.

Hair Color: In the sun it looks strawberry blonde, just like sissy's did at this age, but I think it will turn out to be a dirty blonde/brown like sister's.

Eye Color: Beautiful blue!

Milestones: So much more alert these days.  Acting more and more like a baby instead of a newborn.  You have given us a little laugh a few times, and smile all the time now!  You coo constantly!

We love you so much little brother.  Hard to imagine what it was like before you were here!  I am so thankful for your sweet little disposition.  You are such a blessing!
